The gift that keeps on giving – countless copies of the brand new US paperback edition of Bay of Fires landed on my doorstep yesterday, the same day they are going on sale in that faraway land. This edition is gorgeous; not only is it crammed with lovely comments taken from all the reviews, but it has material for book clubs, written by me last year. Questions to stimulate discussion, books that inspired me, a mini travel guide to Tasmania, plus other bits and pieces. Thank you Little, Brown for once again creating such a beautiful book. I hope everyone likes it!
Meanwhile, I’m sitting at my desk, getting ready to fly to Tasmania tomorrow for three days of literary entertainment at the Beaconsfield Festival of Golden Words. When I’m not being entertained, I’ll be speaking on three panels about writing tragedy, Tasmania as muse, and where do writers’ ideas come from.
